ALEXTBH RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM 'IT'S ALL GOOD'
Alextbh has released his debut album 'It's All Good' via EMPIRE, an album showcasing his newly refined sound steeped in confident, blissful nostalgia. His powerful messaging has taken on fearless new depths, tackling subjects around identity, discrimination, and self-love. Fans can stream 'It's All Good' here music.empi.re/itsallgoodalextbh and watch the music video for the focus track "Never Enough" here.
During lockdown, Alex found himself discovering new artists on Boiler Room and COLORS, inspiring him to experiment with his production. The album is a soundtrack to falling in love with life, friends, or someone new – songs to scream at impromptu dance parties, and songs to to help you get through difficult moments. "10 tracks written over the course of the pandemic" is how Alex describes 'It's All Good'. "The whole album became a relentless pursuit of sanity in a world that couldn't offer it to me. It's euphoria and torment - both packaged into a not-so-neat, ADHD-led series of stories."
On lead single "Never Enough", Alex explains, "It all started when I was trying to pay for my groceries, but the card was declined due to insufficient balance. I realised I had no money for it and ended up going home feeling major depressed, not wanting to speak to anybody. Thankfully, I'm no longer in that financial situation. But I'm still just as sad, and just as angry at capitalism."
"The idea for the music video came about when I had the idea to write about a character that's living in this video game world where he is a slave to capitalism but wants to be rid of it. I'm also definitely inspired by the movie Everything, Everywhere, All At Once because this movie portrays the absurdity of life in ways I could relate to but just never knew how to express. Most of the assets from this music video is from LimeZu, so a major shout out to them for being awesome people! Theme aside, this was actually a fun project for me. It marries my love for music, games and 3D design."

MORE ABOUT ALEXTBH
Alextbh is a Malaysian artist with a knack for constructing blissful imagery through his blend of euphoric synth-laden pop, raw lyricism, and tender vocals. The self-taught songwriter and producer grew up on a heady cocktail of noughties pop and R&B, listening to the likes of the Backstreet Boys, Jennifer Lopez, and Justin Timberlake amid the explosion of the internet. ‘VILLAIN’ ALBUM
COMING EARLY 2024
VIA 88RISING

Multidimensional creator and performing artist Akini Jingreleases her new single and accompanying video for ‘Black Widow’, out now via 88rising. The track is the second lifted from Jing’s highly anticipated album VILLIAN, coming early 2024.
Following the release of last month’s electronic infused ‘Call Me Shadow’, Akini continues to showcase her unprecedented musical expression of Wuxia as she transforms the traditional literary and film genre into new single, ‘Black Widow’. The track’s unpredictable sonic arrangement sees Akini combine beautiful orchestral string and piano sections with an invigorating footwork beat and kung fu textures. Effortlessly shifting between English and Mandarin, Akini’s lyrics vividly illustrate an intense martial arts fight sequence and an ill-fated romance to create a truly unique track.
The accompanying video for ‘Black Widow’, directed by Joseph Le (Afro Samurai Champloo and Mulan: An East Side Story), is a short story created by Akini Jing. Inspired by the alluring world of Wuxia, the cinematic video sees Jing introduce the character ‘Black Widow’, a wicked matriarch of a new imposing clan threatening harmony. Incorporating signature martial arts sequences by stunt coordinator Andy Cheng(Shang-Chi, and Rush Hour), the video features multiple rounds of combat, giving a further glimpse into the world of Wuxia.
WATCH THE VIDEO FOR ‘BLACK WIDOW’ HERE
Speaking about the new single ‘Black Widow’ and video, Akini Jing said: “Black Widow is the second character I am introducing from my new wuxia concept album "VILLAIN." She is a fierce, eccentric antagonist with an innocent inner nature, despite her reputation for cruelty.
As I crafted this character, I underwent rich internal changes, constantly sensing her emotional shifts. In terms of music production, this song is entirely original, without reference or rules, and I thoroughly enjoyed the creative process.”
Speaking about her upcoming album VILLAIN, Akini Jingadded: “‘all the songs on my VILLAIN album are heavily inspired by the Chinese genre of Wuxia. The aesthetic influence is obvious, but what really drew me to Wuxia is the nature of the characters - they are people who are devoted to, and live by, very high ideals. But at the same time, they are constantly limited by their own humanness. For one reason or another, both heroes and villains find themselves falling short or getting distracted from their goals. Aren't we the same? Our spirit may be high but our lives can be low. This is the essence of ‘jianghu’, which is a Chinese word that describes people on the fringe of society, who live by their own code.
I was fascinated by this tension between ideals and reality, and wanted to find a way to express this centuries-old genre in a new way. The result is an interesting combination of traditional Chinese instruments with electronic sub genres such as techno, two-step and deconstructed club, which I think represents the Chinese underground scene as it is today.”

Over the past ten years, Akini Jing operated under the name “Jingxi Zhu” and found success writing chart-topping pop hits for multiple artists. Then, in 2019 she introduced her new alias, “Akini Jing”, a cyborg identity that fuses technology with Chinese ancestry. Notably, Akini Jing’s work is highly influenced by the cinematic world of martial art films, known as Wuxia.
Stay tuned as over the coming months Akini Jing will share more music and visuals from this new project.

Ben&Ben explores themes of longing and loneliness on new single “Autumn”
The emotional ballad serves as the first offering off their three-part release
Ben&Ben expresses the loneliness that comes in waves after being apart from your loved one for so long.
On their new single, “Autumn,” out today via Sony Music Entertainment, the nine-piece collective copes with the emotional complications that hit home, resulting in a song about “the distance that people often unintentionally create with their other half, because of the changes that life throws at us.”
According to the Paninidigan Kita hitmakers, the introspective track was written in Canada last year, right smack in the middle of their North American tour. The band’s lead vocalist and guitarist, Paolo Benjamin, felt an aching yearning to be with his significant other, as the long distance proved to be very challenging for both of them.
“A few months later, in early 2023, brother Miguel Benjamin completed the lyrics, also adding a bridge about being in different seasons, which really completed the message of the song,” the folk-pop collective adds. “It speaks about themes of loneliness, yearning, and ultimately, hoping against hope that a new season will come.”
Marking a new chapter for the band, “Autumn” embraces a new direction that reveals subtle details with each listen. Blending rich, acoustic arrangements with lush textures and otherworldly touches, the emotional ballad is meticulously crafted to capture the yearning that comes with being in a long-distance relationship with your other half.
The award-winning band explains in a collective statement, “Autumn is a song where we showcase how we’ve evolved and matured as a band. Writing-wise, we felt that the perspective was a more realistic and mature take on the subject. Arrangement and production-wise, we discovered a lot of new ways to express sounds that achieve the emotion we were going for.”
The song is included in a three-part release that Ben&Ben hopes to share in the coming weeks. Aside from “Autumn,” the acclaimed Filipino act will also be dropping the full-band version of their new track “Courage” in the following week, as well as a special collaboration with another artist, due December 8, 2023.
Ben&Ben’s “Autumn” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.

Coloura showcases boundless creativity and unique sonic approach on second EP, Love and Influence
Filipino indie rock band Coloura has finally dropped their sophomore mini album, Love and Influence via Melt Records, the Cebu-based label that is home to critically acclaimed acts such as KRNA, Loop, and Vincent Eco—to name a few.
More than just an EP that maps the inevitable dissolution of relationships, be it romantic or platonic, the electronic-influenced guitar-pop record openly essays the band’s collective and personal take on love, whether it’s based on real-life events or observations, and maybe both.
“The songs on LAI cover the themes of staying in love, obsessive love, self-love, and acceptance,” the four-piece act explains. “Vocalist and guitarist Jake Relacion wrote most of the lyrics of the songs except the hook/chorus for “Ecstasy” which was written by our bassist Robert Lim.”
But apart from its heartfelt musings on love, betrayal, and acceptance, Love and Influence excels with its unique sonic approach and boundless creativity. Thanks to its ‘80s pop influences, driving chords, and shimmering arrangements, the band unearths a distinct sound that turns their frailties into anthemic pop sing-alongs for the modern audience.
The electro/indie pop act explains, “Our music has been heavily inspired by pop, rock, and electronic music, but for this EP, we kind of just went along with whatever was comfortable and fun for us. We are really excited to hear people’s thoughts when they hear this EP.”
Love and Influence serves as the follow-up to their underrated 2022 EP, In Between, which features the songs “Drive and Meet You,” First Time,” “Let This Go,” and more.
Coloura’s 5-track EP, Love and Influence is out now on all digital/streaming platforms worldwide via Melt Records.

Directed by duo Javier Castan and Eoghan O'Driscoll of Mutant (Zara Larson, David Guetta, Madison Beer), the tantalizing video finds BIBI and Becky G in pursuit of a secret rendezvous, taking audiences with them as they embark on their exciting endeavor. The adventurous and enthralling video shows us what BIBI and Becky G really mean when they say: “But if my boyfriend calls / We are friends, nothing more”.
On her collaboration with Becky G, BIBI said, “When I first heard Becky G’s voice in ‘Amigos,’ I fell in love because it was so perfect. I pondered countless times on how to make this song shine even more and chose a slightly more dark approach. I made many changes unlike my usual style. I tried to create a blend of low and refreshing tones. Although the lyrics may be somewhat suggestive and promiscuous, I am not that kind of person. As a hopeless romantic, I have a knack for falling head over heels for that one special person and my loyalty knows no bounds.”
Becky G continued, “Everyone knows how much I value collaboration and this song with BIBI presented a great opportunity for us to adapt our styles to work together. A blend of cultures, the track further proves music’s ability to transcend borders. I’m so excited for our fans to experience the crossroads of our creativity that creates an infectious beat that so many will enjoy.”

ADB, Gobi Sign Sustainability Linked Loan to Support Climate-Resilient Cashmere Value Chain in Mongolia
ULAANBAATAR, MONGOLIA (20 November 2023) — The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Gobi Joint Stock Company have signed a $30 million sustainability linked loan to support the cashmere value chain in Mongolia and provide stable incomes and employment to 1,200 herders and 1,300 industry employees. The loan will be used to procure raw cashmere from herders, as well as for cashmere processing activities.
In addition, a $1 million technical assistance grant will be provided to support scalable sustainable pasture and herd management, and to run workshops on climate-resilient practices for herder groups in the Khuvsgul and Bayankhongor provinces. Sustainability linked loans incentivize the achievement of sustainable performance goals in return for a variable or lower interest rate. This loan will target increased direct procurement from herders, emission reduction, and water conservation, as well as training herders in pasture management.
Mongolian herders are severely affected by climate change, which is causing or contributing to increased heatwaves, droughts, dzuds (severe winter conditions), and desertification. Careful management of pasture and ecology is essential to mitigate the effects of overgrazing and improve climate resilience. The reliable income and technical support provided by Gobi is critical to supporting herders in these endeavors.
“Mongolia contributes nearly half of the global raw cashmere supply, but most of it is exported and only a fraction is processed into final products inside the country. Fostering a sustainable cashmere production industry will help diversify this important industry and boost its contribution to the broader economy,” said ADB Director General for Private Sector Operations Suzanne Gaboury. “While women are heavily engaged in Mongolia's livestock sector, they lack income-generating jobs and training. Gobi and ADB share a commitment to make sure that women receive a fair share of financial rewards for their hard work, and are able to play a greater role in the industry’s development.”
The grant will support capacity-building activities on sustainable pasture management, basic pasture ecology, financial literacy, and budget management for at least 200 nomadic herders, of which at least 80 will be women. It will also fund support for the improvement of pasture ecology and management and seek solutions to help herders reduce herd sizes while maintaining or increasing income.
ADB will help Gobi to advance gender equity and women’s empowerment in its operations. Key milestones include ensuring that at least half of new operations staff are women; providing training opportunities to female staff; dedicating nearly half of Gobi’s training outreach to women herders; encouraging female herders to join herder groups promoting scalable pasture and herd management; and developing awareness materials on gender-based violence.
“With our partnership with ADB, Gobi JSC will produce more finished goods with value-add, which will increase foreign currency revenue inflow into the country’s economy, as well as create more jobs,” said Gobi JSC Chief Executive Officer Baatarsaikhan Tsagaach.
Gobi is the largest cashmere manufacturer in Mongolia. As a member of the Sustainable Fiber Alliance, Gobi focuses on sustainable value chain practices including sustainable animal husbandry and community management, and procures raw cashmere from Mongolian herders. Gobi is part of Tavan Bogd Group, one of the largest conglomerates in Mongolia, and an existing ADB client.
ADB is committed to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific, while sustaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty. Established in 1966, it is owned by 68 members—49 from the region.

TATE MCRAE RELEASES NEW SONG AND VIDEO FOR “exes”

SNL DEBUT PERFORMANCE TOMORROW NIGHT
HIGHLY ANTICIPATED SOPHOMORE ALBUM
THINK LATER OUT DECEMBER 8TH
(Download Album Artwork & Press Photo HERE)
(Los Angeles, CA – November 17th, 2023) – Multi-platinum singer/songwriter Tate McRae releases her new song “exes” alongside the official music video via RCA Records. Written and produced with hitmakers Ryan Tedder (Taylor Swift, Beyoncé) and Tyler Spry (OneRepublic, Anitta), “exes” is propelled by Tate’s vibrant vocal style laced effortlessly with bursts of synths throughout.
Directed by Aerin Moreno (Dove Cameron, Madison Beer) and choreographed by Sean Bankhead (Cardi B, Lil Nas X), the steamy music video follows Tate and her dancers taking over a rundown rodeo for the night. Through intoxicating visuals and high energy choreo, you won’t be able to look away from the immensely talented Tate as she catapults into pop stardom.
Tate adds, “We wrote “exes” on the last day of the album making process. It was kind of like the last hurrah that Ryan Tedder and I wrote in legitimately 30 minutes. It talks about my flaws in a relationship, and some of my self-deprecating and self-sabotaging tendencies. The music video was so insane to film — getting to dance that much with such incredible girls was a dream.”
Showing no signs of slowing down, the star is making her musical guest debut on Saturday Night Live tomorrow night with host Jason Momoa. Featured on the cover of Billboard’s November Music Awards Issue, Tate will be performing at the show this Sunday where she’s also nominated for her collaboration with Tiësto on “10:35” in Top Dance/Electronic Song.
Releasing December 8th, Tate’s highly anticipated sophomore album, THINK LATER, is executive produced by Ryan Tedder. Pre-order HERE. THINK LATER and its songs are steeped in pop appeal and infectious toplines. Showcasing Tate’s boundless vocal talent and evolution as a songwriter, this new body of work explores the all-too-relatable feelings of falling in love and embracing the raw emotions that you experience as a result of leading with your intuition and heart.
The first taste of music from the forthcoming album, “greedy”, earned the star her first #1 on the Spotify Global chart and top 10 on the Billboard Global 200 chart hitting #3. The self-assured hypnotic offering has garnered over 394 million streams to date and hit #11 on Hot 100 along with #1 most added at Top 40 and Hot AC radio upon release. Making it her biggest debut to date, “greedy” has been called “an artistic turning point… a propulsive self-empowerment anthem built around a firecracker of a pop hook that finds McRae dipping in and out of a falsetto while exuding unshakeable confidence” by Billboard. Watch her perform the song on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Next year, she’ll embark on her first global outing with the ‘THINK LATER TOUR” spanning 53-dates throughout Europe, UK, North America, Australia, and New Zealand. Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off on Wednesday, April 17 in Dublin, Ireland at 3Olympia Theatre, with shows in London, Amsterdam, Prague, Paris, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, Sydney, Melbourne, and many more before wrapping up in Wellington, New Zealand at TSB Arena on Thursday, November 21. charlieonnafriday will be joining as support on all dates across Europe, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Presley Regier will join Tate across all North America dates.
The ‘THINK LATER TOUR’ will see Tate playing the biggest and most iconic venues of her career thus far, including her first headline show at Madison Square Garden. For more info and to purchase tickets visit HERE.

LINYING PREMIERES VIBRANT NEW SINGLE/VIDEO “HAPPINESS” VIA NYLON Q&A
NEW EP HOUSE MOUSE OUT NOW
(NETTWERK)
Hometown Release Show at LA’s Resident on December 3rd
Credit: Michelle Mei
LA-via-Singapore artist Linying shares her effervescent new single “Happiness,” the final preview of her new EP House Mouse, out now via Nettwerk; listen to House Mouse HERE. The track arrives with a Michelle Mei-directed video filmed with a spirit of playful spontaneity on an island in the Philippines, which premiered earlier at NYLON alongside a Q&A. “Happiness” is a sonic burst of pure euphoria, rushing forward on pulse-quickening rhythms as Linying channels the thrill of post-breakup freedom. "I used to feel all endings with one-dimensional grief, but this one had complexity—there was pain and liberation but also fear; there was the thrill of new desire, so messy and lighthearted at the same time. And then there was the peace of knowing it was all going to be okay,” she explains. “It was blissful and instinctive, and the song kind of wrote itself.”
Of the video, she says to NYLON: “We traveled through Siargao over 10 days with Michelle’s expensive camera and my toy camcorder, filming whatever we wanted, and only when we felt like it. We surfed, we shared meals with new friends, we bathed in rock pools and painted our faces with clay pebbles and devoured coconut after coconut (in all imaginable forms). I’d scramble into an outfit and full makeup once we saw that the light was good, and we’d shoot without a plan, looping the song over and over but never getting sick of it. I also think we gave a pair of fruit sellers on the street what was possibly their highest grossing day on record…My biceps were sore the next day from lugging bags and bags of watermelon and papaya. It was wonderful. I couldn’t forget it even if I tried, but I’m so glad we have this to remember it by.”
“Happiness” Video Still
“Happiness” follows the EP’s previous singles “Porcupine” and “Take Me to Your House,” which earned support from Brooklyn Vegan, Under the Radar, Ones to Watch (playlist), Northern Transmissions, Best Song Ever Podcast, and more. Linying's debut album There Could Be Wreckage Here—a 2022 release made with musicians like former Death Cab for Cutie guitarist Chris Walla—earned fantastic press from NPR Music, NME, Bitch Media, and others.
On House Mouse, Linying follows her intuition toward a kaleidoscopic form of dream-pop that's bursting with radiant imagination and heavenly melodies. It's proof of the wild magic that comes from letting go and leaning into your most unfettered impulses. Mainly co-produced with Jon Graber, the EP was recorded at a Los Angeles studio that Linying describes as “a haunted mansion full of every instrument you could ever imagine.” As they experimented with unusual instruments like the EBow and erhu and tack piano, the duo also worked with musicians like Jordan Blackmon (former live guitarist for Toro y Moi) and constructed an elaborate sonic world around Linying's up-close examination of her inner life and all its complexity.
Linying will perform next at LA’s Resident on December 3rd. Tickets are available HERE.
