Sweetbriar: A Period of Reflection

October 28, 2025

Sweetbriar: The Serenade of a Weathered Rose by Rowena Liwanag Suarez is a period of reflection. I say this because I recognize the practice of writing as a period in time, and the author has used this time to look introspectively in order to produce a wonderful solo poetry anthology. It gave me a glimpse into her thought process, as well as the emotional turmoil she had to face.

Being a self-aware person is the key to finding contentment and meaning, and the author has achieved that in herself. This self-awareness has brought forth realizations which gave way to the poems she has written in this book. What struck me was the raw honesty which she presented in her poems. I also get the impression that she has a problem solving approach to life, and this is evident in some of her poems. I can see that the author finds writing therapeutic, and that she lives a multi-faceted life.

Her poems inspire me to journal more. I am no poet, so journaling my thoughts will do. Writing with such raw honesty can give me better insights about my life and its present conditions. I know that writing can also be a form of letting go, such as anger and resentment. Like the author, I look forward to facing life with honesty and the power to write about one’s experiences without holding back. I also want to have more quiet moments to reflect and focus on the lessons I have learned so far.

The author has an extensive writing resume, and I look forward to reading more of her works in the future. I salute her for her debut poetry book, and I hope that this also inspires more people to read, reflect, and write.

To the One and Other: Where Wisdom Lives

October 28, 2025

To the One and Other: Poems and Prose by Karina Maria Lagdameo-Santillan has inspired me to write again. At 39, I sometimes feel that I no longer have new material to draw inspiration from. However, Lagdameo-Santillan has shown me that inspiration is everywhere, and writing needs to be a continuous process.

Her poems reflect a life filled with wisdom. Her simple writing style makes her message clear and easy to understand. While there is a refreshing quality to the bare essentials, the author manages to insert the important life lessons that she has learned along the way. I appreciate how often she describes the feeling of being alive, and how meaningful it is. I also enjoyed reading her reflections through her stanzas.

Her prose shines because it shows the reader how much life has impacted the author. Her lessons have given her contentment and satisfaction. If there is a way for her spirit to manifest itself, then it has already done so in the short paragraphs in this book. It was an honor to have a glimpse into her thoughts, and how she sees life has given me a sense of hope and wonder.

Where can prose and poetry meet? Maybe they never will, or perhaps, they are better off separate from each other. The author has shown that prose and poetry can co-exist. The multitude of themes in her writing has formed a tapestry that is filled with different shades and colors. The thread of her life is sewn into her own experiences, and she gladly shares them through her written work.

It is never too late to write, and in my case, I am inspired to write again thanks to Lagdameo-Santillan and her book.

Maria ni Mayari : A Journey to Self-Acceptance

October 28, 2025

Maria ni Mayari: Mga Piling Tula by Mark Carascal is a bittersweet journey to self-acceptance. I brought this book with me to a coffee shop, and it was the perfect companion while sipping my americano by myself. It was the right book to read during a rainy afternoon, as I drowned out the noise around me.

The author has highlighted the concept of freedom in his introduction and in the poems in this anthology. Reading about his struggles and pain was challenging because I could relate to his experiences. The illustrations by Maville Carascal were helpful in highlighting the author’s emotional depths. I wish that some of the poems would go on and on, but that was the beauty of this book. The short poems allowed me to reflect on my own pains, while appreciating the author’s efforts in exposing himself through poetry.

I am not a poet, so I have great respect for those who can write a poem or two. The author’s scientific background is evident in his usage of natural themes and concepts. His artistic usage of metaphors give me a glimpse into his thought process as he navigates through life and emotional turmoil. My hope is that the author has already found enough freedom to move forward, while writing poems about his continuous journey through life. I also hope that the illustrator can provide more drawings in the future, even those with color for a change.

I know that freedom is relative, but I can say that this book is worth reading because it was written with vulnerability and honesty. Perhaps the author can write a poetry anthology whilst applying the scientific method in the future? Only time will tell. That will definitely be an interesting read.

Grief with Hope: A Journey of Encouragement

October 28, 2025

Grief with Hope: How to Navigate Loss Without Losing Yourself by Nerlisa Elyza Francisco Rivera a.k.a. Lady Elyza is a journey of encouragement. As someone who has experienced multiple deaths and tragedies in my personal life, I have learned to befriend grief along the way. My goal now is to continue living while grief remains, and this book has been helpful in unlocking blocked emotions such as anger and resentment. Indeed, grief is a dynamic reality, and dealing with it should not be linear.

I empathize with the author because her description of loss is all too familiar. Like her, I was also shocked when I lost my loved ones. I also faced the similar process of denial, disbelief, and shock. I am happy that the author has a solid support system who helped her navigate through the pain while also dealing with their own sadness.

There is hope, because life is a process of going through highs and lows. The only consolation about grief is the knowledge that loss is acknowledged, and that it can be a familiar presence in one’s life.

The biggest takeaway that I got from this book was that our loved ones are not ours. We do not own them. We have no control over them. When they pass away, it is up to us to deal with their loss, not the other way around. We have the free will and the agency to pick ourselves up. We can still show up for ourselves. This book is a gift for the grieving, as well as their caretakers who sometimes do not know how to deal with the changes in their lives.

Heroes in the Arab Kingdom: Honoring our Remarkable OFWs

October 28, 2025

Heroes in the Arab Kingdom by Ulysses V. Espartero is a tribute to the Overseas Filipino Workers who have made their mark in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As someone who does not have OFW relatives, I found this book fascinating because the 200 biographical profiles in the book all compose a remarkable picture of hard work, dedication, and commitment. It is not easy to make an impact in a foreign land, more so if this country is situated in a desert. It makes me feel honored to be a Filipino just like these 200 OFWs who not only excelled in their jobs, but also brought pride to our country through their achievements.

It touched me that most of the Filipinos featured in this book have made philanthropic endeavors on top of their demanding work schedules. It only shows that Filipinos will really look after each other, especially when they are in a foreign country. Their love for family also continues to be strong as most profiles included the educational attainment of their children, information about their parents and spouses, as well as their influences to pursue careers abroad. It also highlights the importance of education, as this brought the 200 OFWs from their humble beginnings to their storied careers. Indeed, education is transformative.

This book not only inspires, but also informs Filipino readers who are interested to also become OFWs not just in KSA, but in other countries as well.

This book is a gift to Filipinos everywhere and is a timely reminder that our resilience is not just a lifeline, but is also a gift to the world. We are remarkable people. The world needs more Filipinos who are not just excellent workers, but compassionate human beings as well.

Hayley Williams Releases "Good Ol' Days", EGO NITES Listening Parties — Manila 🇵🇭, Singapore 🇸🇬, Jakarta 🇮🇩

October 27, 2025

ONE OF TWO BRAND NEW TRACKS ON
FINAL PHYSICAL ALBUM
OUT ON 7 NOVEMBER

LISTEN HERE

EGO NITES LISTENING PARTIES TAKING PLACE WORLDWIDE:
SINGAPORE, MANILA, JAKARTA
FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY ON 5 NOVEMBER

October 27th, 2025 – Philippines – Out now, Hayley Williams released the R&B-tinged earworm, “Good Ol’ Days”. LISTEN HERE. Last night, she debuted the song live at Rolling Stone’s ‘Musicians on Musicians’ event at The Beacon Theatre in New York City with Bleachers. The event celebrated the release of the November issue, which features Hayley and Jack Antonoff on the cover.

The track is one of two new songs that will appear on the final physical form of her album 'Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party' which arrives in stores on November 7th. To celebrate the album’s release, record stores worldwide will host EGO NITES release parties – including events in Southeast Asian cities such as Singapore, Manila, and Jakarta on November 5th. More information and a full list of stores and cities are
HERE.

'Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party' originally dropped as a surprise collection of 17 unsequenced singles. Fans took to social media, working up their own
tracklistings and even creating hayleysingles.com, where thousands of fans were able to share their preferred order just as Williams had hoped. Later the album was released digitally with 18 tracks including the single “Parachute”, and has been streamed over 110 million times in the 7 weeks since its digital release. Fans can still pre-order the physical album today, and a series of live listening events have been planned in record stores around the world.

'Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party' was produced entirely by Daniel James. Williams wrote, played and recorded a variety of instruments across each of the 18 songs, with cross-project contributions from long-time collaborators Brian Robert Jones and Joey Howard, and contributions from Jim-E Stack on “True Believer”, which just earned Williams her first solo Billboard Alternative Sales #1. After 20+ years spent fulfilling their contract for Atlantic Records – a contract Williams signed as a mere teenager – Paramore announced in December of 2023 that they were finally an independent band. This surprise collection is self-released by Hayley Williams on her new venture Post Atlantic, distributed via Secretly Distribution.

Williams has released music videos for the
album’s title track and “Parachute”, directed by Zachary Gray, and the single “Glum”, directed by her Paramore bandmate Zac Farro and AJ Gibboney. Earlier this month, she gave a stirring performance of her song “True Believer” on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

This album puts Hayley Williams’ full range on display. “Mirtazapine” is a late-’90s alt-rock love letter to antidepressants, while on “Glum”, she subverts her own voice – using vocal presets to striking effect as the track meditates on loneliness. Other standouts include “Whim”, an easy Americana earworm with a songwriting backbone that nods to her Nashville roots, and “Ice in My OJ”, a thoroughly modern track that pairs sharp production with some of Williams’ most biting and humorous lyrics to date.

Long-time Paramore fans may quickly recognize the “Ice In My OJ” chorus, as it was first sung by Williams in 2004 on "Jumping Inside" by the Mammoth City Messengers. But perhaps all of her talents converge most impactfully on  the album’s only previously unreleased track, “Parachute”. It's a reminder of Williams ability to strike right at the heart, with not only her confessional lyrics, but her unmatched delivery. The album captures all the dynamism Williams has shown throughout her career and collaborations. At its core, these songs are the work of a supremely gifted artist with a voracious, genre-defying appetite for music and creative exploration.

These songs come as the third batch of work released from Williams as a solo artist. The COVID-era saw her release two extraordinary albums – 2020’s 'Petals For Armor' and 2021’s 'Flowers for Vases'. Both albums were gorgeous and stark meditations on loss and offered up a contrast to the high-energy and up-tempo muscle she displays in Paramore.

1. Ice In My OJ
2. Glum
3. Kill Me
4. Whim

Mayet Dela Rosa Fine Jewelry redefines luxury with launch of investment-grade gold bars in the Philippines

October 27, 2025

With the MDLR Legacy Gold Bar Collection, timeless design evolves into timeless value: an heirloom of security and sophistication

For over two decades, Mayet Dela Rosa Fine Jewelry has been synonymous with artistry, authenticity, and elegance. Now, the brand moves beyond adornment to redefine what it means to be its own gold—not just a symbol of beauty, but a safeguard of enduring wealth.

The fast-rising jewelry company in the Philippines sets its sights on growing its investment legacy by introducing its exclusive line of investment-grade gold bars that transform the timeless allure of gold into a tangible legacy of stability, dignity, and foresight.

Meet the MDLR Legacy Gold Bar Collection, crafted to international purity standards and authenticated by Heraeus, one of the world’s most respected assayers. This assurance bridges Mayet Dela Rosa’s fine jewelry heritage with global investment-grade standards, creating a product that appeals equally to collectors, professionals, and families securing their financial futures. While fine jewelry celebrates artistry and emotion, investment-grade gold bars embody purity, liquidity, and legacy, or what you may call the three pillars of wealth preservation. Each Mayet Dela Rosa gold bar maintains its full market value, unaffected by fashion or design deductions, and is universally tradable.

For investors, families, and entrepreneurs seeking stability, the MDLR Legacy Gold Bar Collection offers an intelligent and elegant solution. The MDLR Legacy Gold Bar Collection represents the next level of sophistication for collectors of fine jewelry, offering a form of quiet luxury that doesn't require visible significance.

“Substance, not show, is what quiet luxury is all about,” Dela Rosa reflects. “Our gold bars are simple on the outside but serious on the inside. No loud logos, no gimmicks, just purity, authenticity, and grace.”

CEO Mayet Dela Rosa has always believed that elegance should endure, not just be beautiful. Guided by the brand’s philosophy of timeless elegance and purposeful design, she has seen customers throughout the years who view jewelry as more than ornamentation; they also consider it a way to preserve value, something they can pass on or rely on during uncertain times.

Rooted in the story of craftsmanship and heritage behind Mayet Dela Rosa Fine Jewelry, these ethos were inspired by a desire to merge sentiment with substance. Mayet was motivated to give individuals a way to create their own beauty that grows in value, anchoring both emotion and security in gold.

“The transformation of gold bars into investment-grade came naturally,” shares Dela Rosa. “Although the canvas is pure this time, artistry remains essential. With this collection, we bring the timeless security of gold, a worldwide store of value for generations, closer to modern Filipinos.”

In an era when currencies fluctuate and digital assets rise and fall, gold remains the universal constant: a pure and incorruptible store of trust, trade, and triumph. Unlike other forms of wealth that depend on algorithms or government stability, gold holds its value across generations.

“Gold is wealth in its purest form,” Dela Rosa explains. “It’s immune to the volatility of digital markets and inflationary currencies. We see it not merely as adornment, but as protection — an heirloom of security.”

Every gold bar in the MDLR Legacy Collection is serial-numbered, hallmarked, and issued with a Certificate of Authenticity verifying its 999.9 fineness. Clients may store their bars safely at home using tamper-proof safes or in secure bank deposit boxes.

“The real currency of luxury is trust,” says Dela Rosa. “Each item bears its own serial number, hallmark, and certificate, enabling owners to verify, insure, and even resell with full confidence. What we offer is not just gold, but certainty embedded in metal.”

Beyond investment, Mayet Dela Rosa envisions gold ownership as an act of love, a bridge between generations.

As inflation and market volatility continue to reshape global economies, gold stands out as a preferred hedge and stable store of value. In the Philippines, physical gold ownership is rapidly rising among professionals, OFWs, and young investors seeking to anchor their portfolios in something real.

“We’re making it easy to start small and start now, one bar at a time,” Dela Rosa emphasizes. “Even the tiniest bar can become a lifeline in difficult times and a launchpad when opportunity arises. Gold is more than an investment; it’s a promise that endures.”

About Mayet Dela Rosa Fine Jewelry

Founded in 2001, Mayet Dela Rosa Fine Jewelry has built a reputation for timeless craftsmanship, emotional storytelling, and enduring value. Every creation—from fine jewelry to investment-grade gold—carries the brand’s commitment to authenticity, artistry, and trust.

Mayet Dela Rosa continues to shape a culture where elegance meets intelligence, beauty meets foresight, and gold transcends fashion to become a legacy that lasts for generations.

The Bloomfields return with “Balikan,” a nostalgic ode to simpler times

October 24, 2025

The song gathers an all-star ensemble as sessionists, including Benjie Santos of The Jerks on drums, Rey Abella on keyboards, and Kakoy Legaspi on lead guitars.

Manila, Philippines – Just a month after dropping “Pink Skies,” The Bloomfields are back with “Balikan,” a luminous new track that yearns for the beauty of simpler days: a time when moments were lived, not streamed.

Brimming with nostalgia and reflection, “Balikan” conveys the universal longing to return to the glorious memories of the past while rediscovering its warmth.

“This song is about that sudden realization of how quickly time passes—and the longing to return to those simpler days,” shares Nathan Abella, the band’s rhythm guitarist. “It all started with something as ordinary as hanging out in a parking lot with old friends, which sparked a wave of nostalgia.”

Produced by Lakan Hila, the band’s keyboardist and lead guitarist, “Balikan” radiates with rich, lush textures and melodic sensibilities that recall George Harrison’s timeless sound and the dreamy hues of late ‘60s and early ‘70s psychedelia. The result is both classic and contemporary, unraveling a sonic tapestry that doesn’t feel out of place regardless of the era it was released in.

The Bloomfields bassist Louie Poco explains, “It’s something peaceful and easy to listen to, playful yet solemn. It captures a nostalgic feeling that takes you back to the good, old days.”

Adding to the song’s intricate concoction is an all-star lineup of legendary Filipino sessionists: Benjie Santos of The Jerks on drums, Rey Abella on keyboards, and Kakoy Legaspi lending his unmistakable touch on lead guitar. Their artistry, honed by decades of musical craftmanship, infuses “Balikan” with depth, soul, and verve.

“It’s a sound that steps outside the usual Bloomfields character,” Poco explains. “You can really feel the different personalities blending together in this track.”

The Bloomfields’ “Balikan” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Lily Stars Records.

“‘mood swings’ is an album that captures the chaos, beauty and heartbreak I’ve experienced over the past few years. each track reflects a different side of me, a different mood, and a different moment in time. whether that’s the melancholy of drifting apart from an old childhood friend or the excitement of meeting someone new. this album marks the beginning of my story as an artist, and I wanted it to be as honest and personal as possible.”

In 2026, Henry will embark on what is set to be a truly sensational UK and EU tour. With a London headline show at O2 Forum Kentish Town on Friday 17th April, the tour will also see Henry play in cities including Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, and many more. Full tour dates can be found below, and tickets can be purchased HERE.

At just 21-years-old, Henry Moodie has already achieved close to 1 billion streams worldwide across his entire catalogue, landed in the Top 10 most viewed UK artists on TikTok in 2022 and was named within Rolling Stone UK’s 2025 ‘Future of Music’ list. Following the completion of a songwriting diploma at music school BIMM, Henry found his voice as a solo musician and songwriter, oozing a level of emotional vulnerability, and sweeping, timeless lyrics. Henry released his debut EP, ‘in all of my lonely nights’, in the winter of 2023, and in 2024 Henry returned with his sensational sophomore EP, ‘good old days’.

SINGAPORE'S INDIE POP DARLING SHYE UNVEILS BITTERSWEET ANTHEM OF MISSED CONNECTIONS "TOO LATE"

October 24, 2025

LISTEN HERE

October 24th, 2025 — Singapore's indie pop sensation, singer-songwriter and producer Shye returns with a brand new single, "Too late"—a dreamy, melancholic indie pop track that explores the quiet ache of almost-love—the kind that never quite had the chance to begin. Fans can stream the song HERE.

With "Too late", she dives deep into the bittersweet territory of missed chances and that quiet ache of "almost" when two people meet at the wrong time — the kind of connection that feels destined but slips away before it ever begins.  Now they belong to someone else, and you're left with the haunting question: "What if I'd said something sooner?" "It's about a love that never had the chance to begin," Shye shares, "which sometimes hurts even more than one that ended, because you'll always wonder what could have been."

"I hope listeners can hear a bit of their own story in it. A mix of longing, nostalgia but also acceptance. Maybe you'll meet again and have a second chance. But at the same time, maybe you won't. Who knows?"

— Shye

The production leans fully into the emotional tension and quiet nostalgia that define the track. Built around airy, reverb-drenched synths, shimmering layers of acoustic guitar, and anchored by a steady electronic drumbeat, the track creates a soundscape that feels warm but a little heart-wrenching at the same time. "That balance between brightness and melancholy became the emotional core of the song," she says. Interestingly, one of the most unexpected parts of "Too late" comes in the bridge — a section that originated as its own separate demo before finding a perfect home in this song. "It's one of my favourite parts of the track," Shye says. "For me, it encapsulates the feeling of finally speaking how you truly feel after holding everything in. Listen out for it!"

Thematically, "Too late" taps into a feeling that's as personal as it is universal — the ache of missed timing and unanswered what ifs. It's a reflection on the connections that almost were, and the lingering questions we carry when love never had the chance to begin. "Everyone's had that moment of wishing they'd said something sooner, or wondering what could've been if things were just a little different."

About Shye

Shye is an independent singer-songwriter and producer known for her dreamy blend of indie-pop and alt-rock. Entirely self-taught, she writes, records, produces, mixes, and masters all her music, crafting an unmistakably DIY sound that's both intimate and expansive.

Shye first emerged onto the scene at just 16, becoming the youngest-ever winner of the Vans Musicians Wanted competition in 2018. Since then, she's released a steady stream of work, including her debut EP 'Augus7ine' (2018), followed by the genre-blurring 14-track debut album 'days to morning glory' (2020), which won 'Album of the Year' at the Youth Music Awards in Singapore in 2021. Next came the experimental EP 'hello TRINITY'  (2021), 'idk it’s complicated' (2022), and her latest project '9LIVES' (2023), alongside a series of singles throughout 2024, all of which were entirely self-produced. In 2025, Shye continued her momentum with a string of new singles leading up to an album later in the year.

Shye has performed at music festivals such as Tiger Den SXSW in Austin Texas (2023), Axean Festival in Singapore (2023), Asia Rolling Music Festival in Taiwan (2022), Urbanscapes in Malaysia (2019), Baybeats in Singapore (2023, 2019), Asiya Festival in the Philippines (2024), and virtually for Music Lane Okinawa (2021) and Bangkok Music City (2020). Shye performed at the swearing-in ceremony of Singapore's new Prime Minister in May 2024, and wrapped up a performance at The Alex Blake Charlie Sessions in December 2024 alongside international acts. This year, she continued to expand her regional footprint — performing at Taiwan's Emerge Fest in February and headlining her first solo show in Bangkok in April. In September, Shye performed her first show in Indonesia at AXEAN Festival Bali. She also performed at Music Matters Live in Singapore before heading to Japan to perform at the closing weekend of World Expo Osaka. Shye will be performing at Creatorweek Macao soon, solidifying her rising presence across Asia's indie music scene.

Her presence has since extended far beyond Singapore: from gracing a Times Square billboard for Spotify's EQUAL campaign to being named Freshmusic's 'Best New Artist' in 2021 to 'Best New Act from Asia' at the 2022 BandLab NME Awards and receiving the KKBOX 'Rising Star Award' the same year. Shye has also been featured on Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 (2023), Tatler Asia's Gen. T Leaders of Tomorrow (2024), Prestige 40 under 40 and Dazed 100 Global and Asia. She will be receiving an award in Kuala Lumpur for Top 10 of Asia.

Shye has supported international acts such as Daniel Caesar, Clairo, Superorganism, Sales, Men I Trust, and The Chairs during their tours in Singapore. In addition, she has represented Singapore in regional music reality TV shows such as 青年派计划 (Youth π Plan) in China and Chuang Asia in Thailand. Shye was also featured in the 2021 National Day theme song, "The Road Ahead" and earlier this month, she took the stage at Singapore's National Day Parade 2025, performing as part of the country's SG60 celebrations.

Beyond music, Shye was invited by Chanel to attend her first overseas fashion show, the Chanel Cruise Replica Show in Hong Kong last November, an event attended by celebrated musicians such as G-DRAGON and Angèle. She also broke ground as the first Singaporean invited to Chanel's Paris Fashion Week show in March as a celebrity guest. Shye has graced the covers of magazines such as FEMALE, Men's Folio, Prestige, Her World, Grazia, Aplus and ELLE Singapore. Over the years, she has also worked with numerous brands, further cementing her influence as a creative force across music, fashion and culture.

Whether onstage or in her bedroom studio, Shye is guided by her love for music and storytelling. Writing music that feeds the soul and warms the heart, songs that sometimes comforts, sometimes cautions but always say what words can’t. With every self-made track at a time, Shye invites listeners into her world, journeying together with them as they figure life out together.

rouri404 Links With kets4eki and Parv0 For "body (i want you)" Remixes

October 24, 2025

LISTEN HERE

October 24th, 2025 – Following the release of single “body (i want you)” earlier this year, genre-bending artist rouri404 is just getting started. In collaboration with electronic artists kets4eki and Parv0 – rouri404 has released a set of “body (i want you)” remixes today on Red Bull Records. Fans can listen to the remixes here.

The multi-faceted nature of the original track serves as the foundation for these two unique interpretations of rouri404’s latest single.

On working with both breakout artists on these remixes, rouri404 shared: “I really enjoyed seeing what kets4eki and Parv0 did with "body (i want you)". Kets4eki did an amazing remix with a more party/pop oriented sound, while Parv0 does an amazing rave kind of rendition that would kill at any DJ set. I’m very excited to see fan reaction to both, I think it’s a very fun combination of sounds”.

Where the original song begins with crisp, plucky synths, kets4eki builds the track gradually to its crescendo with smoother production elements. There is an extra high-tempo layer to this remix, bringing a new vibration to the track. kets4eki hops in with a vocal addition, building to the lyrical foundation presented in rouri404’s initial release.

Parv0, on the other hand, starts the track with a dreamier sound, drawing from the energy of early 2000s era rave with a touch of house. While rouri404’s classic distorted vocal remains throughout, Parv0 manipulates risers to rhythmically phase in and out to build a cohesive experience throughout the entire track.

Both remixes take very different paths to reach a final product, and the clear difference that listeners can hear across the two tracks not only showcases the skill of both kets4eki and Parv0, but is also a testament to the dynamic nature of rouri404’s personal sound.

Listen to "body (i want you)"  KETS4EKI AND PARV0 remixes here

About rouri404

Art and the internet are society’s last true equalizers, a refuge for the disadvantaged and dispossessed to take on an alias or avatar, rise above their circumstances and become whoever they want. Indeed, for most of his life, Orlando native Joseph (Joey) Cash thrived in the grids and waveforms of Logic and SoundCloud when more traditional structures failed him - a high school dropout at 16, Joey’s future was clouded by substances and self-doubt. By the beginning of 2021, Joey realized that he could not half-step his way towards transcendence.

Expanding beyond his early incarnation as a hyperpop artist, Joey took on the name rouri404 and finally became himself. Following 2022’s striking 'GORE' EP, rouri404 leans even harder into guitar-driven rock and emo, a showcase for his emerging talents as a lyricist, arranger and executive producer.

He’s coherent and concise, inspired by the duality that comes with creating art in online spaces - how does one reconcile the unlimited capacity for self-expression with the unlimited capacity for self-invention? rouri404 sees artists like the prolific Bones and the perfectionist Daft Punk as his two guardian angels; “I’ve found myself struggling between being mysterious with perfect visuals and perfect aesthetics and the other side of, I want to get as much out as fast as possible”. Yet, as rouri404’s skills and stature escalate, the creative process remains true to his origins as a lost soul with a lifeline to his audience, representing for people like himself - the misunderstood teens, the budding lyricists stuck behind the cash register of a dead-end job, the overwhelmed music nerds searching for something permanent in a time where everything feels disposable.

Breakout Singer-songwriter Luke Chiang Teams Up with Filipino-American Voices Jesse Barrera & Albert Posis on Soulful New Single, "what can i do?"

October 24, 2025

LISTEN HERE

October 24th, 2025 — After a powerful return to music earlier this year, rising Taiwanese-American singer-songwriter Luke Chiang unveils his new single "what can i do?", a retro-inspired pop-soul track featuring Filipino-American breakout voices Jesse Barrera and Albert Posis. The track marks the second release from Luke's much-anticipated debut full-length album, which is currently slated for Q1 2026. Fans can stream the newest single HERE and watch the music video HERE.

Rooted in a nostalgic groove and carried by rich vocal harmonies, "what can i do?" reflects Luke's natural evolution as both a vocalist and storyteller. The song wrestles with the quiet tension in a relationship — that feeling when something feels off, even if you can't quite explain why — but is embraced all the same. As Luke puts it, "It's about struggling to find the source of unspoken tension in a relationship, but embracing its flaws and all because it's still your person and you're a good thing together."

Luke Chiang – "what can i do?" (Official Music Video)

Luke co-wrote the track with Jesse Barrera and Albert Posis — both celebrated names in the Asian-American music scene. The song's genesis was spontaneous: "Jesse, Albert & I wrote this song right after working on a folk, singer-songwriter piece with a completely opposite sound direction. From the first few minutes of hearing them develop the chord progression and drums, I knew it was gonna be something I've never done before—uptempo, punchy, and soulful," he says.

"what can i do?" follows the success of Luke's lead single "terrible4u", which made an immediate impact on regional streaming platforms, landing on numerous high-visibility playlists and bringing his music to new ears across Southeast Asia and beyond. Since returning from a two-year vocal hiatus, Luke has been steadily reintroducing himself — and fans are listening.

Luke Chiang has always found success on his own terms. With early tracks like
"May I Ask", "Paragraphs", and "Shouldn't Be", Luke quietly cultivated a global audience with his signature blend of R&B, soul, and contemporary pop. Today, he boasts over 2.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, recently ranking among the top 100 progressive R&B artists globally (Chartmetric). Though his fanbase is worldwide, Luke's strongest and most passionate audience reside in Southeast Asia, with the region dominating his top audience rankings across platforms: #2 Indonesia, #3 the Philippines, #4 Malaysia, #6 Thailand, #8 Taiwan, and #10 Singapore.

With "what can i do?", Luke expands his sound while staying rooted in the soulfulness and honesty that earned him a loyal following — all while continuing to amplify the Asian-American voice through introspective pop that resonates widely.

The next-gen global girl group, A2O MAY, makes a bold return with their first album, “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE” releasing today on all digital streaming platforms. The 14-track release not only introduces A2O Entertainment’s original genre, “Zalpha Pop” - a fusion of Gen Z and Gen Alpha influences - but also showcases the group’s versatility through a dynamic mix of pre-debut songs, unit performances, and solo tracks. Earlier this year, the quintet captured international attention as the first Chinese idol group to perform at iHeartRadio’s renowned Wango Tango festival, marking both their U.S. stage debut and a simultaneous American television appearance on KTLA.

The debut album PAPARAZZI ARRIVE is anchored by its title track, a bold showcase of A2O MAY’s “Zalpha Pop.” Built on a striking siren-like synth riff and dubstep-inspired electro beats, the song delivers a message of confidence and ambition through the group’s dynamic vocals.
Watch the accompanying music video here[1] . The project also includes their pre-debut single “Under My Skin (A2O),” the bass-driven “B.B.B,” the performance-focused “BOSS,” and the soulful R&B track “MELODY,” reflecting the group’s versatility and musical range.

The release further highlights individual members through solo and unit tracks. MICHE & KAT present “SWEAT,” a Latin-inspired song available in both English and Spanish; CHENYU delivers emotional depth in “Someone You Loved;” QUCHANG showcases her powerful range in “Black Sheep;” and SHIJIE adds smooth R&B flair with “Trip.” To extend their global reach, the title track also appears in English and Chinese versions, positioning A2O MAY as a rising force with international ambitions.
In just a few short months, A2O MAY has broken records and defied expectations in the U.S. Their pre-debut single “Under My Skin” made them the first Chinese group to enter the U.S. Top 40 Radio Chart, where it remained for two consecutive weeks. Their official debut single, “BOSS,” has now charted five consecutive weeks - rising from #35 to #32 - marking their second U.S. Top 40 entry and the highest charting placement in history by a Chinese girl group. The track has also amassed over 30 million views across Weibo and YouTube, fueled by the viral Jump Rope Dance featured in its chorus. With growing traction across both Asia and North America, A2O MAY is fast emerging as a leading powerhouse in global pop.

Backed by K-pop pioneer Soo Man LEE and launched under A2O Entertainment, A2O MAY is the first group to embody “Zalpha Pop”—a genre blending Gen Z emotions and Gen Alpha’s creativity. Their music fuses futuristic production with emotionally resonant storytelling, creating cultural bridges through sound and style. Highlighting their unprecedented debut, the group attended the star-studded Amazon Studios’ “Lee Soo Man: King of K-Pop” premiere in Los Angeles, the feature documentary chronicling the enthralling life of a bold visionary. The red carpet sparkled with icons such as Girls’ Generation members and Taemin from SHINee, sharing the spotlight with the rising group primed for global dominance.

FOO FIGHTERS RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘ASKING FOR A FRIEND’

October 24, 2025

LISTEN HERE

2026 NORTH AMERICAN STADIUM TOUR ANNOUNCED

Foo Fighters are back with new single ‘Asking for a Friend’ and the announcement of a 2026 North American Stadium tour. Stay tuned for more dates added soon.

Featuring a decidedly darker melodic approach than the smash hit ‘Today’s Song,’ ‘Asking for a Friend’ ratchets up the energy and intensity of its predecessor in favour of hypnotic opening verses that build and explode into impassioned refrains of “What is real? I’m asking for a friend…” By the time the song's final breakneck rave-up screeches to a halt with a throat-shredding “Or is this the end?”, FF fans of all ages will find themselves joyfully bludgeoned into submission.
Listen to ‘Asking For A Friend’ HERE.

Dave Grohl wrote at length about inspiration for the new music and upcoming tour, in a post that read in part:

"Since our return to the stage in San Luis Obispo five weeks ago, we have been reminded of why we love and are forever devoted to doing this Foo Fighters thing. From reuniting as a band and staring at a list of 30 years’ worth of songs to brush off, to reimagining versions with the incredible blessing of the one and only Ilan Rubin behind the drums, to reconnecting with our amazing fans and blasting them with everything we’ve got (no matter the size of the venue) because we would not be here without them, we have the most solid core. And the sun is finally rising over the horizon.

What better way to share the view than with close friends?

In 1992 I first saw the legendary Kyuss perform at the Off Ramp in Seattle and met Mr. Josh Homme. The band were friends of a friend, and before long their album Blues for the Red Sun became the soundtrack to that summer. 33 years later and with many miles behind us, I have shared some of my life’s most rewarding musical moments with my dear friend, Josh. A lifelong bond that goes far beyond the sound we’ve made together. So it is with great happiness that we can share this next chapter together with his almighty Queens of the Stone Age.

Take cover.

But none of this would be complete without new music to share from Pat, Nate, Chris, Rami, Ilan and I. ‘Asking for a Friend’ is a song for those who have waited patiently in the cold, relying on hope and faith for their horizon to appear. Searching for ‘proof’ when hanging by a wish until the sun shines again.

One of many songs to come…”

Kicking off August 4 at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, the new tour will see Foo Fighters bringing the maximum volume euphoria of the band’s recent surprise US club gigs and overseas outdoor / arena spectaculars to a total of 12 North American cities, concluding (for now) September 26 at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. Sony Music Philippines artists dominate inaugural Filipino Music Awards with multiple wins

October 24, 2025

SB19 leads the label’s stellar night with six honors, including the coveted Artist of the Year

Sony Music Philippines artists emerged as the most-awarded acts at the first-ever Filipino Music Awards (FMA), collectively winning nine major titles.

Leading the charge was global pop phenomenon SB19, who swept a total of six awards, among them Tour of the Year, Concert of the Year, and the much-coveted Artist of the Year. The acclaimed Filipino boyband also clinched two People’s Choice Awards for Artist and Song, and another one for Pop Song of the Year—driven immensely by the wide-ranging appeal of their chart-topping single “DUNGKA!” from their latest EP, Simula At Wakas.

Another standout from the Sony Music roster, IV of Spades, made a triumphant return to the spotlight, earning Rock Song of the Year for their hit single “Aura.” A few months ago, the track debuted at No. 4 on the Spotify Philippines Top 50chart, marking a celebrated comeback for the band. Their upcoming headline concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, produced by Karpos, sold out two months in advance, a further proof of their enduring fanbase and musical legacy.

Rising Bicol-born singer-songwriter dwta also brought home honors for “Folk Song of the Year” with “Sampung Mga Daliri,” her collaborative track with SB19’s justin. The win underscores dwta’s growing prominence in the local music scene, following her recent contributions to the official soundtrack of Fatrick Tabada’s Flower Girl and co-writing credits on BINI’s viral hit “First Luv.”

Actor and singer Jake Vargas is set to begin a new chapter as the frontman of Dear Dina. The six-piece band will make their official debut with the single "Nabighani." This track introduces Dear Dina's unique blend of sincerity, emotion, and laid-back charm, bringing a fresh, heartfelt, and youthful sound to OPM. "Nabighani" tells a story of love, shyness, and connection.

Inspired by Jake’s real-life love story with his girlfriend, actress Inah de Belen, “Nabighani” captures that moment when you meet someone who instantly draws you in -  but nerves and hesitation keep you from confessing how you truly feel.

“The word ‘Nabighani’ has this beautiful Filipino charm,” the band shares. “It describes that unexplainable feeling of being drawn to someone. It’s tender, emotional, and authentic — just like the story behind the song.”

Sonically, “Nabighani” mirrors the soft, dreamy energy of being torpe - shy, in love, and hopeful. Its lyrics are simple yet sincere, like a conversation with your crush filled with quiet excitement and butterflies.

The song’s creation began with casual brainstorming sessions over coffee, where the band decided to write something that would be both relatable and true to their experiences. “Tinananong namin si Jake kung ano’ng naramdaman niya nung una niyang nakilala si Inah” the band shared. “Doon nagsimula ang song -  ‘yung kilig, kaba, at ‘yung feeling na gusto mong magsalita pero pinipigilan mo.”

The writing process was deeply collaborative, with each member contributing their strengths. When the band first jammed “Nabighani,” new member Louise Bayas suggested the now-iconic “sasabihin ko sa’yo” melody for the chorus, which immediately stuck. She also added a groovy bass line that locked in with the drums, filling the track with warmth and rhythm.

They describe the process as DIY - from recording drums at Victor Guison’s space (Unknown13 Pub) to using Louise’s personal recording gear.

To refine their sound, the band sought the expertise of producer Xergio Ramos, who helped shape the song’s final arrangement and direction. “Since it’s our first single, we wanted it to be perfect but not complicated,” the band shares. “Xergio really guided us in finding the right balance and bringing ‘Nabighani’ to life.”

For Dear Dina, “Nabighani” represents more than just their debut — it’s a statement of identity. “This song shows kung saan nanggagaling ang banda - mga kwento ng love, longing, at youth. Sincere and emotional siya, pero lighthearted and fun din,” they say.

Each member brings different musical influences -  from pop to rock to indie, but together they form a sound that’s uniquely Dear Dina: honest, cohesive, and deeply Filipino.

As Dear Dina prepares for their debut release, the band feels both excitement and gratitude for how far they’ve come. “It’s so fulfilling to see a song we built from scratch finally come to life,” they share. “This reminds us why we started making music - to tell stories, make people feel something, and enjoy the process together.”

With “Nabighani,” Jake Vargas and Dear Dina invite listeners to relive the sweet, nervous thrill of falling in love for the first time—a feeling that’s beautifully captured through music that’s real, relatable, and distinctly OPM.

Dear Dina’s “Nabighani” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide.

TAME IMPALA DEADBEAT OUT NOW VIA COLUMBIA RECORDS

October 23, 2025

LISTEN TO ALBUM OPENER “MY OLD WAYS” AND WATCH THE VIDEO HERE

US FALL TOUR KICKS OFF OCTOBER 27

Tame Impala (Kevin Parker) has released his fifth full-length album, Deadbeat via Columbia Records today. Stream/purchase the album here. Tame Impala teased the release of Deadbeat with three advance singles, “Loser,” “End of Summer, and “Dracula” which broke into Billboard’s Hot 100 and saw an instant chart debut at AAA and Alternative - his biggest debuts yet. Today he shares a music video for the album opener “My Old Ways,” directed by Kristofski and featuring cinéma vérité footage the director took throughout the process of Parker making the record in various locations around the world. WATCH HERE

On Deadbeat, Parker sculpts a collection of wickedly potent club-psych explorations as a vehicle for some of his most direct, brain-wormy songwriting to date. The album is deeply inspired by Australian bush doof culture and particularly the local scene centered around Margaret River in Western Australia in the 90’s, recasting Tame Impala as a kind of future primitive rave act in the process. “In the past 15 years, arguably no other rock musician has straddled multiple worlds quite as well as Parker,” says critic Grayson Haver Currin in his GQ Hype cover story. “Tame Impala began as a modernized psych-rock band with exploding-world drums and skyscraping hooks that made it clear Parker also loved pop, soul, and hip-hop. As Tame Impala has steadily morphed into something stranger and self-renewing, where spoken-word stories about picking up laundry led to late-night confessionals, Parker has become a key collaborator to some of the biggest stars in the world. Deadbeat feels like a last act of resignation and acceptance, with Parker finally coming to terms with the person he has always been and may always be. He is suspended in an emotional stalemate, wondering if he can be more than he knows he is.”

Conceived in various locations over the last few years, the album was largely galvanized between Parker’s hometown of Fremantle and his studio, Wave House in Injidup, Western Australia in the first half of 2025. Deadbeat sounds like the work of an artist with a leveled-up mastery, crafted with a newfound embrace of spontaneity for the renowned perfectionist. How that manifests is a distinct minimalism and crunch, with timbres and textures that add an ineffably new dimension to the sound, as well as a richer, more playful vocal range than ever. .

Tame Impala will kick off his first tour in support ofDeadbeat on October 27 for the first of 4 shows at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.  The run wraps on November 17 with the last of three performances at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles.Tame Impala has also announced a major UK and EU tour starting spring of 2026. Full tour dates are below. All dates are listed below and tickets are on-sale here.

Kevin Parker has emerged as one of the most influential voices of the last decade. A singular artist renowned for carving out a distinct sound all of his own, Parker crafts transcendent genre-bending sonic landscapes, playing every instrument and acting as writer, producer, mixer and engineer on his projects. He has been nominated for four GRAMMY awards with one win for his collaboration with Justice on 2024’s “Neverender.” In his home country of Australia, he’s racked up an impressive 13 ARIA Awards and 27 Nominations. He’s won the BRIT Award forBest International Band and scored nominations for two Billboard Music Awards and an American Music Award. Tame Impala has had numerous US Alternative Radio Top 10 songs including two #1’s for “Lost In Yesterday” and “Is It True.” Tame Impala’s “The Less I Know The Better” is part of the Billionaires Club with over 2 billion streams and the project has racked up numerous gold and platinum certifications globally.

Tame Impala has headlined festivals and arenas around the world and released four full-length albums - InnerSpeaker, Lonerism, Currents and his most recent album The Slow Rush. The Slow Rush landed at #1 in multiple territories and was his highest charting album to date in both the US and UK, with 14 top 10 chart positions around the world.  As a writer and producer Parker has collaborated with Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, SZA, Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Mark Ronson, Gorillaz, Thundercat, Kali Uchis, 070 Shake, Rhianna, Miguel, A$AP Rocky and many more.
